Covid-19 was effective in our country as well as all over the world, and most workplaces were either physically closed or a remote working model was implemented. Depending on this situation, many difficulties were encountered in the implementation of the obligation to register with the data controllers registry. Requests for the extension of the registration periods have been submitted to the institution by the relevant public institutions and organizations.

As a result;

• The period determined for real and legal person data controllers with more than 50 employees per year or with a total annual financial balance of more than 25 million TL and the real and legal person data controllers residing abroad to fulfill their registration obligation to 31.12.2021,
• The number of employees per year is less than 50 and the annual financial balance is less than 25 million TL and the period determined for real and legal person data controllers, whose main activity is to process special personal data, to fulfill their registration obligation to the registry 31.12. To 2021,
• The period determined for the fulfillment of the registration obligation of the public institutions and organizations and the professional body data controllers in the nature of public institutions was extended until 31.12.2021 and the decision taken was published in the Official Gazette.
