According to the data of the Turkish Statistical Institute (TSI), Turkey exported 16 billion dollars to Germany in 2020 when the pandemic occurred, while its imports from Germany were 22 billion dollars. In the first 7 months of 2021, according to official data, exports to Germany were 10.8 billion dollars, while imports were recorded as 12.9 billion. On the other hand, while there are over 7200 German companies in Turkey, the economic size of the companies established by Turks in Germany has exceeded 50 billion Euros.

In the light of the figures, it is seen that Turkish companies should take the German market into consideration in e-commerce, e-export and e-tourism. At this stage, digital marketing reaches a very important position. Because it is necessary to use different methods for e-commerce, e-export and e-tourism to be carried out in Germany compared to other countries.
