At the end of December, Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri announced in an Instagram post that they were planning to make improvements to the company's messaging platform because messaging is "the primary way people connect online". "We're going to have to rethink what Instagram is because the world is changing rapidly, and we need to renew ourselves with that change," Mosseri said in his video.
Since the day Meta bought it, Instagram has become a growing platform with more features.
"As we announced at the end of last year, we are investing more in messaging to help you communicate with your closest friends in a fun and trouble-free way," the company said.
Here's a quick look at the new features Instagram announced;
· Reply as you navigate: Are you receiving a new message when browsing your feed? You can now respond without going to your inbox and losing your current location in the stream. This new feature makes chatting in the app much easier and more convenient.
· Send to friends quickly – it will help people reshare interesting content without interrupting their Instagram experiences. You can effortlessly reshare posts with friends by tapping and holding the Share button.
· See who's online: At the top of your inbox, you can see who's right in the chat.
· Play, pause and play again: Instagram; Apple Music is preparing to integrate with Amazon Music and Spotify. You can share 30 seconds of pre-listen to a song you are currently listening to or enjoying.
· Send a silent message: Send a message by adding “@silent” to your message, turning off the notification late at night.
· Lo-fi: You can use this feature to make your conversations feel more personal or when you are in quiet and quiet environments.
· Create a survey with your friends: You can create a survey directly in your group chat. The group's joint decision-making process makes it more enjoyable with surveys.
